Energy Investment Allowance (EIA) for LED lighting

Energy Investment Allowance (EIA) for LED lighting

Are you an entrepreneur and you might want to invest in energy saving solutions? You can be eligible for the Energy Investment Allowance (EIA) by investing in the iONLED lighting. Your investment then offers another advantage. Beyond the savings on your energy contracts, you also pay less taxes.

What is the EIA?

This is a tax incentive for businesses that invest in energy-saving business solutions. So this regulation does not only apply to investing in LED lighting. The Energy Investment Allowance is a form of subsidy. Before you can deduct this you need to have permission first. Nonprofit organizations and individuals, moreover, are not entitled to EIA.

Note: This subsidy is possible with VAMIL and KIA (but not in combination with MIA)

For the following investments it is possible to order an EIA subsidy:

LED lighting

For use in:
Lighting in or at company buildings

and comprising:
LED fixture with LED other than tubes, with a specific luminous flux of at least 120 lm / W, (optional) control system for shifting, depending on the light intensity or automatic presence or absence detection, or responding to sweep pulses.

The luminous efficacy is measured to be in accordance with LM-79-08, or equivalent protocols. Lighting must fall under NEN-EN 12464-1: 2011 (interior) or NEN-EN 12464-2: 2014 (outdoor) or Directive Public Lighting 2011 . Among the specific light stream is here understood to mean the ratio between the light output of the lighting (in lumens), and to this end the electrical power (in watts). Measurements on the basis of LM-79-08, or equivalent protocols, need to be carried out by accredited institutions, in which electrical and photometric measurements, specifically in the accreditation scope of on setting must be included.
